This deep amber whisky offers aromas of stewed plums with balsamic glaze, red berries and cooked nectarines, sweet and oily. On the palate: Corinth raisins, prunes, caramelised figs, sweet Muscat grapes, rich dark chocolate with Seville oranges flavoured butterscotch and sweet sherry character. The finish is long lasting, sweet and intense with fragrant orange notes, chestnuts and sultanas.

This 21 year old single malt is triple distilled and aged in second fill sherry casks. To the nose: ripe gooseberry, citrus peel, sweet vanilla, oak and fresh cut barley notes. Light chocolate, soft green fruit, dried citrus peel and a twist of old oak and honey greet the palate. Beautifully balanced whisky.

The 30 year old is a superb blend from Ballantine's. Complex balance of aromas and flavours include: honey, floral, pear, peach and vanilla oakiness.

A blend of Monastrell, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The different varietals are vinified separately. The grapes are hand - picked, crushed and destemmed prior to fermentation in concrete vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in Hungarian oak barrels. The wines are barrel aged for 6 months. Balsamic aromas and spices on a background of ripe fruits.

Flavour profile is intense and fresh with notes of pear and lime with hints of melon and green tea. The palate is round and smooth with a fruity finish.

Carrera is a beautiful estate blend which is dominated by Cabernet and Merlot, with tiny splashes of Petit Verdot and Malbec.

This Cabernet offers aromas of bright cherry, currant, and raspberry with notes of toasted oak and vanilla. In the glass, you will find flavours of cherry and currant and a lingering and thoughtful finish.

To the eye a burished chestnut colour. On the nose, notes of Freesia, dried geranium and lilies merge with the aromas of citrus fruits, followed by the sweeter notes of acacia honey, apple pie, vanilla pods and cream. The complex palate iniatially starts dry with floral notes, like carnations then developing into sweeter notes of lemon merigue, grilled almonds and light crème caramel fudge with a hint of pepper, nutmeg, oak and light coconut. The finish is long with subtle floral notes and malty flavours.

Initial notes of lemon peel, poached peaches and vanilla giving way to indulgent tones of treacle, salted toffee, antique oak, roasted chestnuts and soft leather. Rich palate with hints of cocoa beans intermingled with sundried raisins, Muscovado sugar, red berries and an elegant layer of peat smoke. Mezcal BRIJ3 was born through an effort to embrace the customs and traditions of Oaxaca, and the artisans of San Martín Tilcajete, known as "the place where the Alebrijes are born."Each bottle is hand painted by the regional artists of San Martín Tilcajete, with their own designs and colours, making each bottle unique to itself. Aromas of freshly cut grass, chlorophyll, citrus fruits such as lemon and lime, as well as smoked and toasted notes. On the palate it is youthful and strong with balanced acidity, offering a long finish with a pleasant balance of smoke and a fresh lingering herbaceous quality.

With this edition of Black Art, inspiration was taken from the groundwork done in creating the first editions of this series, where there was a relentless pursuit to layer flavour.

Aged 29 years. Orange barley sugars, ginger nut biscuits and lemon meringue pie are followed by sweet apricot jam and marzipan. The toasted oak brings smooth chocolate and vanilla notes. Beautifully complemented with syrupy fruit, raisins, plum and melon. Over time, iodine and a hint of coconut come through, with a delicate oak spices of warming ginger and cinnamon. A velvet texture, the depth and balance of this single malt glides across the palate.

The oak cradles the soft fruit of distillation with a perfect balance and harmony. The delicate sweetness and luscious texture are like velvet on the palate. The balance of those sweet ripe stoned fruit flavours with the vanilla, caramel and brown sugar notes of the oak is perfect, this vintage of Islay barley is bottled at just the right moment to capture the DNA of our island and the whisky we distil on its shores. Add a touch of water and watch as the natural oils react in the glass releasing wonderful floral notes of hawthorn and heather.

This single malt is malted to a stratospheric 137.3 PPM and matured in the highest quality American oak casks. Initial aromas of sweet nutty smoke, barley sugar and ripe fruit lead way to syrupy apricot, ripe peat, malty vanilla, crème brulee, honey, tablet, coconut, almonds and charred oak. On the palate, dense smoked granola and honeyed lead to smoked apricot jam, barley four, peat embers, burnt heather, gooseberry citrus and sweet Turkish delight. Oak chips, sugared almonds and chocolate limes come toward the finish.

Bright citrus, smoke and a distinct minerality come through on the palate, followed by charred oak and beach bonfire embers. Toffee and creamy vanilla are balanced with the earthy smoke, with bright notes of pear, gooseberry fool and green apple simultaneously adding brightness and depth. Roasted coffee, hints of clove and nutmeg begin to come to the fore, with a gentle hint of heather honey.

The barley harvest for this 2013 vintage was raised on Islay by seven Islay farming partners. This single malt has matured in ex-American and ex-wine casks hailing from the Pessac-Léognan region of France. The first taste is a wondrous thing; all at once, the salinity, the fruit, the light peat smoke, and the sweet oak show their presence in a whirl of complexity to entice you. The aging from carefully selected oak allows a subtle almond note to combine with coconut, caramel, vanilla, and muscovado sugar. The peat smoke in this whisky is as beautifully balanced as ever, weaving through the components, highlighting them but not dominating. A dram that is gentle on the palate yet has a tremendous depth of flavour.

The unique label shows the 1953 tractor, the first wheeled tractor used at the Château de la Gardine which worked hundreds of hours with Maxime Brunel on board. Brunel de la Gardine Le Petit Maxime Côtes-du-Rhône is a fruity wine from organically grown grapes, with aromas of red fruit and a hint of red pepper.

Exclusively from ex-bourbon American Oak, this expression sings with rich caramel and warming vanilla spice, A HINT OF SALTINESS. Mellow aromas on the nose begin a mineral and maritime theme, then become sweeter and rounder, their golden melody anchored by an earthy bass note. Smooth and sure, the vanilla-sweet, rich and powerful taste is soon shaped by a hint of saltiness and a soaring peppery solo that reaches its smooth crescendo in the long, spicy finish.

This Chardonnay is made from grapes grown organically. It’s engaging in its yellow colour with golden hues. Its refreshing nose is very citric, with fruity aromas mingling with some light mineral notes. The taste is seductively complex, very fresh, with a well balanced acidity.

This Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown organically. It is appealing in its rich and deep bright red colour, and has a complex and developed nose that is governed by sweet wild fruit aromas, where notes of cherries and berries are enhanced by slight toasty hints. This Pinot definitely has a personality of its own. It’s tasteful, with soft tannins and an excellent structure.
