Matusalem makes triple-distilled, hand-crafted, blended spirits. During the Solera method, young and older rums are blended many times in French oak barrels. Gran Reserva 23 is dark, rich, golden with brilliant red and amber tones. Sadashi is a Japanese whiskey with a golden colour. The nose has a woody scent with hints of vanilla and flowers. On the palate, the fresh wooden barrel dominates with a hint of nectar, pure malt, a little citrus, oak notes, Mizunara, coffee beans. Aging occurs in in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, and then delicately finished in Mizunara oak casks. Mizunara is one of the rarest and most expensive types of oak in the world, and gives a delicate touch of spicy flavour and sandalwood to this remarkable spirit.

Jaime I is deep, rich and dark amber in colour. It displays a concentrated complex bouquet, with marked overtones of coconut, dried fruits and spices, typical of lengthy ageing. Round and lush, it has the smoothness that characterizes great brandies. Jaime I is complex, majestic, with a lingering finish that leaves a velvety imprint on the palate.
