This wine showcases aromatics in the form of blackberry jam, fresh mint leaf, black pepper, cooked blueberry, black cherry, sweet tobacco (similar to Oscuro Cigars), ripened plum and blackcurrant, with a subtle undertone of butter, courtesy of malolactic fermentation. Once allowed to breathe, notes of leather and cedar become more pronounced, suggesting potential tertiary aromatics. The palate mirrors the nose, with notable flavours of black cherry and blackberry, alongside butter and toasted almond, with a hunt of dark chocolate on the extended finish.

Champagne Pol Roger created their Prestige Cuvée in homage to Sir Winston Churchill mindful of the qualities that he sought in his champagne : robustness, a full-bodied character and relative maturity. The exact blend is a closely guarded family secret. Composed exclusively of grapes sourced from Grands Crus Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards which were already under vine during Churchill's lifetime. Pinot Noir predominates, providing structure, breadth and robustness whilst Chardonnay contributes elegance, finesse and subtlety. Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is only made in the very best vintages and is always released later than the other vintage dated Champagnes from Pol Roger, marking Churchill's appreciation for older wines.

This cool climate Chardonnay displays beautiful orchard fruit aromas of apples and pears, as well as a buttery, oaky character. It is full bodied and elegant with nice acidity and a dry finish.

Aged for a minimum of 8 years in the chalk cellars. A dedicated bottle inspired by those used in the time of Madame Clicquot, sealed to guarantee the authenticity of this precious wine.

The bouquet is an explosion of red fruit aromas, raspberries and blackcurrants. On the palate, the fruit explosion leads to a note of melted chocolate.

This red blend has a medium to full-bodied mouth-feel with soft yet drying tannins and bold, fruit-forward flavours of blueberry, black cherry, black currant and sweet spice. Notes of black tea, black currant, blackberry, spice, cocoa powder and sweet vanilla linger on the finish.
