A combination of the fruit aromas of plum and blackberry with spice, pepper and cinnamon which then follows through onto the palate. Sweet floral aromatics emerge from the Gattinara. This deceptively medium-bodied wine shows good depth in its red fruit, but at times comes across as a touch fragile and fleeting. Nevertheless, it is an attractive, representative Gattinara well-suited for drinking over the next few years. Anticipated maturity 2012-2018.
